Introduction to Harry Potter
The seven Harry Potter novels were written by J. K. Rowling, an English author. They are about an young wizard named Harry Potter and his good friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The adventures generally occur at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hogwarts is a school for young wizards and witches. The books are about Harry's fight against the evil wizard Lord Voldemort. He killed Harry's parents as part of his plan to take over the wizard world.

- Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (retitled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the United States
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
The first five have been made into movies. The sixth is in production and should be out in November 2008. No doubt the last book will also be made into a film.
